WELCOME TO KOINONIA EDUCATION CENTRE

Koinonia Education Centre is a Christian mixed school that runs from kindergarten to high school. Koinonia ethos are based on Acts 2: 42-46; the early Christians lived in a loving, caring and sharing community. Hence, we admit children from all backgrounds to enjoy a spacious, conducive learning environment. These students learn, play and live together as one family. They get an opportunity to appreciate each other’s’ skills, abilities and personalities irrespective of their backgrounds for in God’s kingdom we are all one body of Christ. Our aim is to nurture them to become competent and transformational servant leaders who possess a clear understanding of their faith, articulate their convictions and apply biblical principles in all areas of life. This is regardless of their socio-economic standing. This is to bridge the gap of servant leadership in our society today. We achieve this by offering practical servant leadership programs and lessons. We have tailored a learning approach that is child centred and individualized since we recognize that each learner is unique and capable. We provide a uniquely rounded learning experience for our learners. We encourage learning through methodologies such as exploration, experimentation, and discovery with the aim of nurturing a community of life-long learners.

To prepare our learners for life, we focus on the 5Cs: Character, Critical thinking, Creativity, Competency and Communication. We purposefully nurture them to radiate the character of Jesus Christ, to be critical thinkers as well as creative problem solvers using their unique given abilities and skills and to be effective communicators of hope. We also offer a robust program of extra-curricular activities ranging from swimming, karate, dance, music (theory and practicals), track and field events, ball games (softball, basketball, handball, football, netball and racket games). We participate in county competitions in sports and in music festivals. In addition, we offer guidance and counselling, pastoral care and learner support. We recognize that parents are the first teachers and thus we encourage parental involvement and participation within school and at home to actualize this noble goal.
